A digital marketer at heart
I’m an Arizona native living in Tempe where the summers are hot and the chai lattes are cold. I have a degree from Arizona State University in Graphic Information Technology with a secondary focus in art history. Long story short, I wasn’t interested in becoming a web developer, but I loved graphic design and writing. Thus began my journey into digital marketing.
I currently work as a digital marketer where I combine two of my favorite things — creativity and analytical thinking. I work on all sorts of projects from SEO, to email campaigns, data and analytics to graphic design. If you’re interested in working with me professionally, get in touch.
A writer’s soul
I’ve always loved writing. I’ve kept a journal for the past 13+ years and I’ve started a blog to act as a public diary, or a hodgepodge collection of essays. I write about plenty of topics including (but not limited to) digital marketing, books I’ve read, anxiety, imposter syndrome, life lessons, and design thinking.
A fig tree of choices
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath is one of my favorite books. There is a moment when the main character sees herself under a fig tree, and is riddled with anxiety — each fig represents a possible choice she can make and she is overwhelmed by the options:
“I wanted each and every one of them, but choosing one meant losing all the rest…”The Bell Jar, Sylvia Plath
As someone who often feels overwhelmed by choices, I thought this was an appropriate name for my blog, which then turned into a place where I also offer my digital marketing services. I see this site as a tree: it has several figs and branches, but it stems from the same roots. I’m someone who enjoys digital marketing and blogging and I wanted a home for that to live.
